7-1-1 Instructions

Just Dial 711

Using 7-1-1 is the quick and easy way to communicate. Just follow the steps outlined below. A Relay Operator (OPR) will type your words to me and will read my typed replies back to you. All calls are confidential and the service is free.

Instructions:

1. Dial 711 or (800-659-3656)
2. You will hear: “Relay Colorado OPR (number). May I have the number you are calling please?”
3. Give the OPR my area code and telephone number.
4. The OPR will process the call. Be sure to speak directly to me, avoid saying “tell him” or “tell her,” and say “GA” or “Go Ahead” at the end of your response.
